There are several ways to give a monetary donation to Iron Creek and Trinity United Methodist Churches! All your donations are appreciated and will help to keep our tremendous ministries going strong.
Tithing means giving 10% of your income to God. This comes right from the Bible, in Leviticus 27:30, “A tenth of the produce of the land, whether grain or fruit, is the Lord’s, and is holy.” More than that, we tithe because it is a good way of reminding ourselves that God needs to come first. Though it may not be easy, tithing shifts our focus from what we earn to the blessings God provides—and inspires us to give back in gratitude.
There is a big difference between a tithe and an offering. A tithe is 10% of your income, while an offering is anything you give beyond that. Offerings often support special projects or missions, but they can be given anytime—as a joyful and generous way to bless God.
Gifts are a special form of giving—our way of thanking God for significant moments in life, like a birth, graduation, wedding, or loss. Unlike tithes or offerings, gifts are expressions of gratitude for God's presence during life's milestones.
